Dyspraxia DCD America 5K

Dyspraxia DCD America 5K is a community event held in New York on November 7, 2026, with a single 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 9 a.m. The route runs along the Rockaway Beach boardwalk in Queens as an out-and-back with ocean views. Everyone who crosses the line receives a medal, and special awards go to the top three finishers in each age group.

Runners of all levels are welcome here, which makes it a sensible first race as much as a target for someone already racing regularly. A flat boardwalk out-and-back is easy to pace: note your time at the turnaround and try to come back no slower. Wind off the water can make the two halves feel very different, so run the outbound leg on effort rather than on your watch, and save the push for the return.
