The Essentia Health Dick Beardsley Races are held each year in Detroit Lakes, Becker County, Minnesota. On September 11, 2027, the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), the 10K (6.2 miles) and the 5K run/walk all start at 8:00 a.m., with youth races for younger runners rounding out the program.

Thousands of runners take to Minnesota's scenic roads amid fall colors, alongside famed runner Dick Beardsley, who attends the race as well as a pasta dinner the night before. The event showcases the natural setting of Beardsley's home state in a friendly, sporty atmosphere.
