The Dark Hollow Wallow is a trail race at Big Ridge State Park near Maynardville on February 21, 2027, with an 11-mile (17.7 km) course, a 5-mile (8 km) course and a Kids Trail Mile (1.6 km). The kids' race starts at 1:30 p.m., and the 11-mile and 5-mile races go off at 2:00 p.m.

The event offers challenging races for both adults and children. Safety rules include mandatory adult supervision for kids under 12 and strict pace requirements. A code of conduct applies, and runners are encouraged to carry their own water. Volunteers play a crucial role, and strict safety rules are in place to protect participants.
