Dandelion Run

Dandelion Run is held on May 22, 2027, in Derby, Vermont, through the dandelion fields of Morgan, Holland and Derby, with musicians stationed along the dirt roads. Five distances are offered: a half marathon (13.1 mi), a 10-miler (16.1 km), a 10K (6.2 mi), a two-miler and a one-miler. Start times are not listed in our records.

Dirt-road running sits closer to the road than to the trail: the surface is even enough to hold a pace, but loose gravel on the bends and a softer footing under fatigue cost more than you expect late in a half. The shorter formats make this an easy event to enter as a family, with everyone out on the same roads at the same time.
