About

Dam Site Run takes place in LeRoy on November 1, 2026. The event has one format, the half marathon (13.1 miles), and it starts early at 7:30 a.m. on the road.

A single-distance race keeps things simple: everyone at the start line is running the same thing, so there is no faster crowd from a shorter event to pull you off your plan in the opening mile. The early start suits anyone who prefers to be finished by mid-morning, but it also means practicing your pre-race routine at that hour a few times beforehand. For preparation, ten to twelve weeks with one long run a week reaching about eleven miles, plus two or three easy runs, covers what the distance asks.
