About

The Crater Crawl in Mountain Home, Elmore County, Idaho, invites participants to explore the landscape around two symmetrical volcanic craters recognized as a National Natural Landmark. On September 11, 2027, both courses start at 10:00 a.m.: a 6.2-mile (10 km) route and a 2.9-mile (4.7 km) route.

Participants can choose between a challenging course that circles the craters or a more relaxed out-and-back route with panoramic views. The event caters to experienced runners and hikers alike, with an emphasis on low-impact recreation.
