Sloth Runners Race - San Antonio

The Sloth Runners Race takes place in San Antonio, Texas, in early May, and it is a road event built around three distances: a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K and a 5K. The route moves through public parks and urban areas, and there are also kids' and juniors' courses for younger runners, which makes it easy to turn the morning into a family outing.

Texas weather in May can already be warm and humid, so an early start, a steady first few miles and regular fluid stops matter more than a fast opening pace. Once the race is done, San Antonio has plenty to offer, from the historic Alamo and a stroll along the River Walk to the San Antonio Museum of Art and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
