About

The Mother's Day Race Houston takes place in Houston, Texas, in early May, around Mother's Day, in a lively and festive atmosphere. Three road distances are offered: a half marathon (13.1 miles) for the more experienced, a 10K and a 5K.

Houston is already hot and humid at this time of year, so lean on an early start, steady pacing and regular fluids. Around the race, the city has a lot to offer: the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Space Center Houston, a walk in Buffalo Bayou Park, or a day trip to the beach at Galveston, about an hour away.
