Community Spirit Race 5K & 1 Mile

Community Spirit Race 5K & 1 Mile is staged at the Florida Atlantic University football stadium in Boca Raton, Florida, on March 6, 2027. Two formats are offered: a timed 5K (3.1 miles) run or walk, and a 1 Mile. Age-group awards go to the leading runners, and every entrant receives a shirt, a bib, and a medal. There is also a children's race and a dedicated kids' area, plus a full breakfast at the finish.

The event is deliberately built for families and is set up to be accessible to participants with visual impairments and limited mobility, so the mix at the start line is broad. A share of entry fees supports a local charity. For a runner, the 5K is the one to race and the mile is the one to run alongside a child; neither needs a training block beyond a few weeks of regular easy running.
