About

The Clarendon Marathon and Half Marathon is a classic off-road race between Salisbury and Winchester along the historic Clarendon Way, held on 3 October 2027. First run in 1998, it has become one of the most scenic and challenging multi-terrain marathons in southern England.

More than 90% of the 42.2 km course follows ancient tracks and bridleways once used by kings and queens, combining woodland trails, rolling hills and farmland. Alongside the full marathon, participants can choose the half marathon, the Mini Marathon (a 5-mile/8 km introductory race starting at Farley Mount Country Park) or the four-person marathon relay. Runners and fast walkers are welcome, and every finisher receives a medal, a T-shirt and free photos. With its friendly atmosphere and strong community support, the Clarendon is both a serious test and an inclusive event.
