The Clarence DeMar Marathon is a point-to-point, net-downhill marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km) held every fall in Keene, New Hampshire, alongside a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km). The 2027 race is on September 26, with the marathon starting at 7 a.m. and the half marathon at 8 a.m.

Certified as a Boston Marathon qualifier, the course is built for performance, with steady descents, hills early on and a tough climb around mile 23.6 (km 38). The full marathon starts in the Gilsum countryside, while the half marathon starts at Surry Mountain Beach; both finish on the historic Appian Way at Keene State College.

The race also hosts a kids' marathon and a "Super Seniors" event for runners over 70, both ending with an enthusiastic finish. Whether runners are chasing a personal record or taking on their first race, DeMar offers a well-organized and supportive day of racing.
