About

The Cinderella Trail Run takes place in Oakland, California, in late May, in Joaquin Miller Park and Redwood Regional Park in the East Bay hills. Runners choose a 50K (31.1 miles), a marathon (26.2 miles), a 30K (18.6 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) or an 8K (5.0 miles). Most races start at 8:00 a.m., with the 8K following at 8:15 a.m.

The routes use scenic trails among tall redwoods, including the Sequoia-Bayview and French trails, before taking on the technical Cinderella Trail, nicknamed the Wicked Step Sisters. The event welcomes runners of every level and offers a demanding course in a natural setting. Expect roots, climbs and steep descents rather than road pacing, and choose shoes with good traction.
