About

Cinco de Mayo: Run Against All Odds takes place in Houston, Texas, in early May, and it is a road race through city streets. The half marathon (13.1 miles) and the 5K are described in the event information, and the data also lists a 10K, so check the official site for the final lineup.

Houston is hot and humid by early May, so an early start, regular fluids and a relaxed first few miles are the sensible approach for the longer distance. Outside the race, the city offers the Museum District, Hermann Park for a family break, and the Houston Space Center, while the historic district of Galveston is about an hour away by road.
