About

The Oktoberfest Run 5K/10K/13.1 KANSAS CITY takes place in Kansas City on September 25, 2027. The lineup includes a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), a 10K, a 5K and the Family 1 Mile Fun Run (1.6 km), with a shared start at 7:30 a.m.

The event leans into Bavarian culture and good company without leaving serious runners out: the 5K makes a great speed workout, and the 10K is a distance where any pacing mistake catches up with you in the final third. For a first half marathon, ten to twelve weeks of training with gradually longer long runs is a reasonable minimum. A T-shirt, finisher's medal, certificate, digital training pack and online results are included, with a virtual option for those who cannot attend in person.
