About

Charlotte's Beat Lives On 5k takes place in Brunswick, Georgia, on October 31, 2026. The event is built around a single distance, Charlotte's 5K, which starts at 8:00 a.m. on Halloween morning.

An 8:00 a.m. gun time on the Georgia coast keeps you out of the day's heat and humidity, which still lingers into late October down here. The 5K is a distance you can prepare for in about six weeks: run easy three or four days a week, add one workout with faster repetitions, and finish with a long run of 40 to 50 minutes. If you are walking it instead, a couple of 45-minute walks a week is honest preparation, and you will be done in time for the rest of the day.
