The Captain James R. Minicozzi Memorial Race is held each year in Scranton, Pennsylvania, as part of La Festa Italiana, with a 5K (3.1-mile) run and a 1-mile fun walk, both starting at 10 a.m. on September 4, 2027.

The event honors Captain James R. Minicozzi and supports The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania by funding a Christmas party for children and college scholarships. The first 100 registrants receive a free T-shirt, and refreshments will be served. Awards go to top finishers in several categories, including a special award for the top military finisher.
