The Buzz Marathon takes place in San Miguel, California, in the second half of March, and offers five road distances: a marathon (26.2 miles) and a half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:30 a.m., a 10K (6.2 miles) at 8:00 a.m., a 5K (3.1 miles) at 8:30 a.m. and a 1-mile run at 9:00 a.m.

San Miguel is in the Central Coast region of California, where late-March mornings tend to be cool and the day warms up under the sun. Wearing layers, including something you can leave at the start, is a good approach, and so is a conservative first half if you are running the marathon, since the temperature can rise toward midday.
