About

Britta's Chase 5k- San Antonio is an annual 5K held at the San Antonio Zoo on October 2, 2027, sponsored by Goya Cares. The Fun Kids Dash, a quarter-mile (400 m) race for children under five, starts at 7:45 a.m., followed by the 5K run at 8:00 a.m.

The race supports Meant to Soar, a nonprofit that helps children who have experienced trauma. Runners compete for cash prizes and medals in several categories, with extra challenges offering cash rewards at specific points on the course. Kids who finish the Fun Kids Dash receive a medal, and every participant gets a kite symbolizing the organization's mission of helping children overcome hardship and thrive.
