Brazos Bend 100

The Brazos Bend 100 is a major Texas ultrarunning event known for its flat, steady multi-loop course. It serves as a qualifier for the Western States 100 lottery and draws a large number of qualified entrants each year. Distances include a 1K, half marathon, marathon, 100K (62 miles), and the full 100 miles.

Runners face the variable conditions typical of a Texas December, with temperatures generally ranging from 39 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, adding to the challenge. The race takes place in Brazos Bend State Park, known for its abundant wildlife, including American alligators.
