The Boston or Bust Marathon takes place in Huntsville, Alabama, on September 12, 2027, with a marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km) and a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), both starting at 6:00 a.m. The flat, fast course runs along Aldridge Creek and the Tennessee River south of the city, starting and finishing at the Ditto Landing marina, and both distances are certified and chip-timed.

The race is a Boston Marathon qualifier and is usually one of the last chances to earn a BQ before the deadline. Water, electrolytes and energy gels are available along the course, and after the finish runners can enjoy food, drinks and music at the pavilion, with an electric atmosphere fueled by local supporters.
