About
Blue Ridge Ultra is a trail event held in Blue Ridge, Georgia, on October 10, 2026. Three formats start in waves: the 50K (31 miles) at 8:00 a.m., the 30K (about 18.6 miles) at 8:30 a.m. and the 15K (about 9.3 miles) at 9:00 a.m.
North Georgia trails in October combine mountain climbing with the first hints of fall color, and this staggered-start format lets you choose a distance without changing the day's rhythm. If you are eyeing your first ultra, a 50K with an 8:00 a.m. start gives you plenty of daylight. The 30K is a strong intermediate goal for someone who has done a trail half marathon and wants more, while the 15K is short enough to race hard. For the 50K, plan 16 weeks with long runs building to 22 to 24 miles, ideally on rolling, wooded trails, and rehearse eating every 30 to 45 minutes. For the 30K and 15K, 10 to 12 weeks of consistent running with a weekly hill session will do the job.
