The Bear Paw Marathon takes place in Havre, Montana, in early June, in the Bear Paw Mountains, known for a formation said to resemble a bear's paw. The marathon (26.2 miles) starts at 6:00 a.m., the half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:00 a.m. and the 5K at 8:00 a.m.
