About

Atlanta Technical College 5K Fun Run is held in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 24, 2026, with a single 5K going off at 8:00 a.m. At 3.1 miles it is a short morning, and an eight o'clock start gets you back with the rest of the Saturday still ahead of you.

Campus fun runs draw a mixed field, from students racing hard at the front to people covering their first 5K at the back, which makes them easy events to enter at any level. Line up according to your realistic pace rather than your ambition, so you are not swept along too fast in the opening quarter mile. If you want to run a time you are pleased with, a month of consistent easy mileage plus one weekly session of faster repeats is enough for this distance.
