About

The ARF 5K RUN & WALK With The DOGS in Beacon is designed both for competitive runners and for those looking for an active outing with their canine companions, with a 5K Run & Walk at 10:30 a.m. and a 1K KIDS Fun Run & Walk at 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2027. This nonprofit race offers a timed 5K course for adults, while young athletes can take part in a fun run designed especially for kids.

Dogs can run alongside their owners, as long as they are leashed and comfortable in a crowd. Strollers are allowed on the 5K course, so families are welcome. Post-race festivities include a dog costume contest, music and games, blending athletic performance with community fun. Registration includes event-themed gear for both runner and dog, and all proceeds go to animal rescue and care organizations.
