About

The Amica Newport Marathon offers a full marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km) and a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) along the scenic coastline of Newport and Middletown, Rhode Island, with both races starting at 7:30 a.m. on October 10, 2027. The fast, USATF-certified courses are well suited to personal records and Boston Marathon qualifying.

Start and finish are at Easton's Beach. The route passes through downtown Newport, along historic Thames Street and through Fort Adams State Park, before five oceanfront miles on Ocean Drive and past the famous Gilded Age mansions of Bellevue Avenue. The half marathon finishes on the beach, while marathoners take on extra hills in Middletown before returning to the shoreline. The race is known for its motivating atmosphere and remarkable views of the New England coast.
