American Hero 25K Relay and Half Marathon

The American Hero 25K Relay and Half Marathon takes place in San Antonio, Texas, in late May, at Comanche Park on the Salado Creek Greenway. The program includes a 25K relay (15.5 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K Hero Ruck, where participants carry a pack, and a 5K Hero Race. The half marathon, 10K and 5K all start at 7:30 a.m., and a kids' fun run begins at 7:10 a.m.

The event honors people who serve their communities and encourages participants to push their limits in a supportive setting. Distances are chosen to fit different fitness levels, from the relay and half to the shorter races. South Texas warms up fast in late May, so hydrate in advance and expect humid conditions on the greenway.
