About
The Alpine Adventure Run takes place on July 17, 2027, in Sitka, Alaska, on a 6.8-mile (11 km) course through the surrounding mountains, with 2,500 feet (762 m) of elevation gain. The race covers varied, demanding terrain typical of the mountainous landscape of this coastal region of Alaska.
The climbing and altitude make this mid-distance race tougher than a standard trail run of the same length. It is aimed at trail runners used to altitude who want a challenge in a spectacular natural setting, between the mountains and the Pacific coast of Southeast Alaska.
