About

The Allen Stone Braveheart Memorial Races in Virginia Beach offer a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk at 7:45 a.m., a 4.3-mile (7 km) Run-Swim-Run at 8:15 a.m. and a 1-mile kids' run/walk at 9:30 a.m. on July 24, 2027.

The races were founded in 1999 to benefit the American Heart Association. Originally called the Braveheart Run Swim Run, they were renamed in memory of Allen Stone, a local Navy SEAL who won his age group but died shortly afterward. The event has since grown to include the 5K and the kids' mile, raising significant funds for charities such as the Navy SEAL Foundation and local rescue organizations.
