About

The Alaska Distance Classic in Anchorage gives runners the choice of a 5K (3.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles) or both on July 31, 2027. The 5K and the 5K/10K Double-Up (9.3 miles / 15 km in total) start at 9 a.m., and the 10K at 9:45 a.m.

Double-Up finishers receive a special prize, with additional awards for finishers of either distance. The course showcases the scenic surroundings of the University of Alaska and Alaska Pacific University campuses. The event also raises funds for Special Olympics Alaska, supporting its athletes and raising awareness in the community.
