About

Abbott Dash To The Finish Line 5K is held in New York, New York, on October 30, 2027. The event is organized by New York Road Runners and offers a single distance, a 5K over 3.1 miles, with the start time not yet listed on the schedule.

A city 5K of this size is worth approaching with a plan, because the field is large and the first half mile is usually crowded. Line up honestly according to the pace you expect to run, stay patient while the road opens up, and save your effort for the second half. If you are targeting a time, six to eight weeks of consistent running with one weekly session of 5K-pace intervals prepares you well. If you are simply there for the experience, the distance is short enough to enjoy from start to finish.
