About

The 9/11 Heroes Run - Baton Rouge takes place in Gonzales, Louisiana, on September 11, 2027, with two options starting together at 8:00 a.m.: a 5K (3.1 miles) and the Spc. Eric Thomas Burri 1-Mile Run/Walk (1.6 km).

The event honors veterans, active-duty military, first responders and the families of the fallen. A GORUCK division lets participants carry a weighted pack and earn a commemorative patch. The mile can be walked as easily as run, so kids and family members can join in, while the 5K suits both a first race and a brisk outing for regular runners.
