About

5K - September is a chip-timed 5K in Winston-Salem on September 7, 2027, starting at 6:30 p.m. It is one round of a monthly series running from April to October: runners collect points from race to race, with the series awards handed out at the final race of the season. The field is capped at 150 entrants, with no expo and no crowded start line.

The format works for first-timers trying out a race, for runners slotting a tempo session into a longer training block, or for anyone tracking their progress month by month on the same course. The evening start means shifting your last meal and allowing time for a full warm-up, as September evenings cool down quickly.
