About

The 10 Bay Challenge, held in Margate on 6 June 2027, offers two demanding trail routes: the full 10 Bay Challenge of 15 miles (around 24 km), and the punchier 4 Bay 10k. Runners take to the sand and the promenade, weaving their way around 10 coastal bays.

Some sections can only be passed at low tide, and the out-and-back route between Margate and Ramsgate offers iconic views, with natural sea stacks and arches along the way. The varied terrain of sand, promenade paths and clifftops makes for a physical and mental challenge. After crossing the finish line at Margate Main Sands, runners can rest in the dedicated recovery area and refuel in the nearby seafront cafés, or explore the sights and attractions of the area.
