Your RunRun training plan straight onto your Garmin watch
Link your Garmin account once: every workout goes to the watch and lands on the right day, with no file to handle
Build my free planYour Garmin is far more than a GPS: it can walk you through a workout block by block, with target paces right in front of you. The session just has to get there. RunRun handles that: link your Garmin account once, and every workout in your plan is sent to the watch and scheduled on its date. No file to download, nothing to import — which is just as well, because contrary to what you'll often read, Garmin Connect does not import workout files: its import is for runs you've already done. Direct sending is the only route that genuinely works, and it's the one RunRun takes.
Why choose RunRun?
A plan built around you
Goal, level, available days: RunRun generates a complete plan — 5K, 10K, half, marathon or trail — with target paces, durations and recoveries for every session.
Sent directly, no file
Once your Garmin account is linked, one button does it: the workout is created in Garmin Connect and scheduled for the right day. It reaches the watch at the next sync.
The session plays out on your wrist
Warm-up, intervals, recoveries, cool-down: your Garmin runs through the blocks and alerts you when you drift off target pace. No more counting laps in your head.
Your runs come back into RunRun
Once run, the session flows back and ticks off your plan. Your progress, your real paces and your training load update on their own.
Paces calculated, not guessed
RunRun works out your target paces from your VO2max estimate or a recent race time, following established training-zone principles. The pace calculator needs no account.
Free, no card required
Building your plan, linking your Garmin and sending your workouts costs nothing and asks for no payment method to get started.
How it actually works
Step 1 — Build your plan
On runrun.fr, enter your goal, your level and the days you can run. The plan appears with every session spelled out: type, duration, target paces, recoveries.
- •Pick your goal: 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon or trail
- •Enter your level and weekly availability
- •The full plan shows up straight away
Step 2 — Link your Garmin account
In your RunRun account, under Connections, link Garmin. It's a one-off: the link stays live from then on, workout after workout.
- •Open My account → Connections → Garmin
- •Link your Garmin Connect account
- •The link stays in place for every session that follows
Step 3 — Send the workout
Open a session in your plan and choose to send it to Garmin. RunRun creates it in Garmin Connect and schedules it on its date — not just filed in a library, but on the right day of your calendar.
- •Open the session in your RunRun plan
- •Click "Send to Garmin"
- •The workout appears in your Garmin Connect calendar on its date
Step 4 — Let the watch guide you
At the next sync, the workout is on the watch. Start it from the Workouts menu: your Garmin announces each block, shows the target pace and warns you when you stray from it.
- •Sync the watch with Garmin Connect as usual
- •Start the session from the watch's Workouts menu
- •Follow the announced blocks, target pace in view
Five tips for living well with RunRun and your Garmin
Send the whole week at once
Nothing says you have to send workouts one at a time. Push the week's sessions on Sunday evening: each lands on its own date and you can forget about it.
Two-factor authentication blocks the link
If your Garmin Connect account uses two-factor authentication, the link can't complete for now. You'll need to turn it off while linking the accounts, or use calendar sync instead.
Check kilometres versus miles
RunRun gives paces in min/km. If your watch is set to miles, the pace alerts won't line up. It takes seconds to change in Garmin Connect.
Don't want to link your account? The calendar often does the job
RunRun also publishes your plan as a calendar your phone reads natively. You keep today's session in front of you without linking anything — plenty for easy runs and long runs.
The FIT file is still there, for edge cases
You can always export a session as FIT. One caveat: that file will not import into Garmin Connect. To load it, plug the watch in over USB and copy it into the GARMIN/NewFiles folder.
