The Witch's Run 5K

The Witch's Run 5K is held in Hartsville, South Carolina, on October 31, 2026. The single format is a 5K over 3.1 miles, going off at 8:00 a.m. on Halloween morning.

Road 5Ks reward sharpness rather than volume, so the last few weeks of preparation matter more than the last few months. One session a week of hard repeats — 400s, 800s or a mile at target pace — plus an easy longer run and relaxed days in between will have you ready. Race it in three parts: settle through the first mile, hold the second, and spend whatever is left in the third. If you plan to run in costume, do at least one training run in it so nothing surprises you.
