Texmas Trail Race

Texmas Trail Race is run in Smithville, Texas, on December 12, 2026, organized by Rise Racing Co. Six trail distances start through the morning: the 104K (65 miles) at 6:00 AM, the 57K (35 miles) at 7:00 AM, the 21-mile at 7:30 AM, the 14-mile at 8:00 AM, the 7-mile at 8:30 AM and a kids' one-mile at 9:00 AM. The waves are spaced half an hour apart.

Few events cover this much range in one morning, and the kids' mile at the end makes it genuinely a family day rather than a family-friendly claim. Central Texas trail in December is usually firm and cool, which favors steady running. Pick the 7-mile for a first trail bib, the 14- or 21-mile to stretch an existing base, and the 104K only if you already have an ultra finish and a headlamp plan for the pre-dawn start.
