À propos

St. Patrick's School Dash 5K and 1 mile is held in El Paso, Texas, on October 24, 2026. Two formats share an 8:30 a.m. start: the 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1 Mile Family Walk or Run. With both waves going off at the same time, families can split across the two distances and still meet at the finish within the hour.

The pairing of a road 5K with a one-mile option is what makes this event flexible. The mile is a genuine entry point for kids and for adults returning to running, while the 5K gives more experienced runners something to push on. If you want to race the 5K, six weeks of preparation is enough: two quality sessions a week, one of them at goal pace, plus an easy long run, and keep the last week light.
