Shamrock Shuffle - presented by Adrian Noon Rotary is held in Adrian, Michigan, on March 20, 2027. A 1-Mile Kid's Fun Run opens the morning at 8:00 a.m., and the 5K (3.1 miles) follows at 8:30 a.m. in two categories, a run and a separate walk, both starting at the same time. Splitting runners and walkers into their own divisions is a nice touch for a race of this size.

Because there is a dedicated walking category, you can enter this one with no running background at all and still be in the right field. Runners get a clean 5K to race, with a half hour after the kids' event to warm up properly. If you want to be sharp for 3.1 miles, run easy on most days for the month beforehand and add one weekly workout of six to eight one-minute efforts at hard pace with jogged recoveries.
