Run With A Mission 5K, 3K, Fun Run

With a single gun for every format, expect a busy first few hundred yards — line up according to the pace you actually plan to run and give yourself a little patience before settling in. The 5K suits a first race as much as a hard effort: 3.1 miles is short enough to finish on modest training and honest enough to tell you where you stand. Build over eight weeks with three or four runs a week, adding one session of five to six minutes at a comfortably hard pace repeated two or three times. The 3K walk and the fun run cover the rest of the family.
