Red Rock Canyon 100k | 50k

Red Rock Canyon 100k | 50k is held in Blue Diamond, Nevada, on November 14, 2026, organized by Desert Dash. Three trail distances are available in the Red Rock Canyon area just west of Las Vegas: a 100K (62 miles), a 50K (31 miles) and a 17K (10.6 miles).

This is a desert event through and through, with rocky footing, exposed terrain and big elevation changes to be expected in the canyon country. The 17K is a nice way to sample the setting without a big commitment, the 50K is a challenging but reasonable first or second ultra, and the 100K suits runners who already have long mountain or desert races behind them. Train on rocky ground, get used to carrying your own water, and include hill sessions every week. Plan 16 weeks for the 50K and 20 for the 100K, with back-to-back long runs late in the build.
