Rattler Trail Race

Rattler Trail Race takes place in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Saturday, April 17, 2027. Four trail distances are on the schedule: a 50K (31 miles), a 25K (15.5 miles), a 10K and a 5K. The ladder covers a full spread of experience levels, from a first time off the road to an ultra, on the same trails in the same morning.

Two things shape a spring trail race on Colorado's Front Range: altitude and unpredictable April footing. If you are traveling from sea level, expect your usual pace to feel harder and plan to run by effort instead of by the watch. The 5K and 10K work as an introduction to trail running or a family entry; the 25K is a solid half-marathon-equivalent challenge; and the 50K asks for a build with weekly long runs on hilly terrain and practice hiking the steeper climbs.
