Monster Dash 5K at The Bates Motel - Presented by Nolan Painting Inc.

Monster Dash 5K at The Bates Motel - Presented by Nolan Painting Inc. is held in Thornbury Township, Pennsylvania, on October 30, 2027. There is one distance on the card, a 5K run/walk over 3.1 miles, starting at 9:00 a.m., with The Bates Motel giving the race its Halloween setting.

A 5K run/walk on Halloween morning is an easy one to say yes to: the walk option removes the pace pressure, and 3.1 miles is a distance most people can cover without a formal training plan. If you want to race it, three or four weeks of short intervals, quarter-mile and half-mile efforts at a hard but repeatable pace, will do more for your finish time than extra mileage. Come with a plan for the opening mile in particular, since a crowded start on a short course tempts you into a pace you cannot hold.
