McGraw Memorial Park "Quick Draw @ McGraw" 2 Mile Trail Race is held at McGraw Memorial Park in Bailey, Colorado, on October 24, 2026. Two miles on trail at Colorado altitude is a sharper effort than the distance suggests. Thin air bites hardest in exactly this range, where you are running close to threshold from the first minute, so start a little more conservatively than instinct tells you and build. Warm up properly: at this length, there is no time to ease into the effort once the race begins. Visitors coming up from lower elevation should treat the clock as irrelevant and race the people around them instead. Shoes with grip are worth it on trail in late October.
