Haunted Halfsy , presented by Olmsted Medical Center

Haunted Halfsy , presented by Olmsted Medical Center is held in Rochester, Minnesota, on October 30, 2027. The half marathon (13.1 miles) and a team relay over the same distance both start at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K follows at 8:45 a.m.

The relay is the detail that sets this one apart: two teammates can split 13.1 miles, which turns the half into an achievable target for a runner whose longest run is still six or seven miles. Solo entrants get a proper end-of-season half marathon at a time of year when Minnesota mornings are cold and fast. Dress for the second half rather than the start, and if you are running the whole distance, count on about twelve weeks of steady mileage with one long run each week.
