Bigfoot Classic - Little Rock takes place in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on January 30, 2027. The 50 meter kids dash goes off at 7:55 a.m., then the one mile, the 5K, the quarter marathon (6.55 miles) and the half marathon (13.1 miles) all start at 8 a.m.

The half aside, the quarter marathon is the interesting option here: 6.55 miles is long enough to require real pacing but short enough to run off general fitness, which makes it a good stepping stone from 5K racing. Runners going for 13.1 should plan on ten to twelve weeks with one long run each week and a couple of sessions at target pace.
