Alpha Run - Wichita

Alpha Run - Wichita takes place in Bel Aire, Kansas, on November 7, 2026, with three formats spread across the morning: a one-mile run at 8:30 a.m., a 200-meter kids' run at 9:00 a.m., and a 5K at 9:15 a.m. Breakfast is included with every entry.

Stacking a mile, a children's dash and a 5K inside 45 minutes makes this an easy event to attend as a group, and the staggered starts mean you can double up and use the mile as a warm-up for the 5K. Racing a mile is a different skill from racing a 5K, though: it starts uncomfortable and stays that way, so warm up thoroughly and commit from the gun. The 200 meters is about the right length for young children to give everything and still enjoy it.
