About

The Witterings Beach Run takes place on 1 November 2026 on the vast sands of West Wittering Beach, a Blue Flag beach on the West Sussex coast. Designed for athletes of all levels, it offers 5 km, 10 km and 15.3 km races on firm, unspoilt sand revealed at low tide, each with a canicross version.

  • 15.3 km: 8am (canicross 8:05am), 25 m of elevation gain
  • 10 km: 8:15am (canicross 8:20am), 17 m
  • 5 km: 8:30am (canicross 8:35am), 7 m

Runners enjoy superb views of Selsey Bill, the Isle of Wight, Chichester Harbour, the Solent and the South Downs in the bracing sea air. Water stations are placed along the course, and finishers receive a commemorative medal, a recovery drink and a goody bag. Whether chasing a personal best or testing themselves against the particular demands of a seaside course, runners will find an inclusive atmosphere and stunning sea views.
