Run VR

Run VR is a two-part series in Villa Rica, Georgia, spread across October 24 and December 5, 2026. The October date brings a one-mile fun run at 8:30 a.m. and the Zombie 5K (3.1 miles) at 9:00 a.m.; the December date offers the One Mile Reindeer Run at 10:00 a.m. and the Reindeer Run 5K at 10:30 a.m.

Two 5Ks six weeks apart make a tidy little block on their own. Use the October race as your baseline, take the result honestly, and spend the weeks between working on whatever it exposed — usually pacing over the second mile or a lack of top-end speed. A simple structure works: one threshold session, one set of short repeats at 5K effort, easy running the rest of the week, then a few quiet days before December. Each date pairs the 5K with a mile, so there is a shorter option both times.
