The Pāuanui Trail Epic is a trail running event set in the stunning coastal landscape of Pāuanui, near Tairua on the Coromandel Peninsula, on 20 March 2027. Runners choose from four distances: 34 km (655 m of elevation gain), 22 km (79 m), 14 km (16 m) and 5 km (16 m).

The renowned Tairua River Trail is at the heart of every course, offering fast riverside tracks through lush native bush and across open flats. Runners can test their skills on technical ridges, take in the views from the forested hills and sprint along the sparkling Pāuanui Beach shoreline.
