About
The Eastbourne Beachy Head Marathon, held in Eastbourne on 24 and 25 October 2026, is one of the biggest and most scenic off-road marathons in the UK, known for its demanding course through the South Downs National Park. Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, the event now spans a full weekend of racing.
On 24 October, runners can take on the classic marathon (42.2 km, 8.45am), the 52 km ultra (a combination of the marathon and the 10K, 7.40am) or the shorter but tough 10K (9.15am), which heads out to the Belle Tout lighthouse and back to the start. On 25 October, the half marathon (8am) follows a new route through rolling hills and spectacular coastal scenery.
With generous cut-off times, the event welcomes runners, joggers and walkers alike, all rewarded with breathtaking views, tough climbs and a festive race-day atmosphere.
